    董家是江南大户，三代同堂。董家长是董解元，一位内部计算机系统的开发者。年过六旬的他有两个儿子和一个女儿，以及几个孙子孙女。不过，这个家庭并没有看起来那么幸福，两个儿子让董解元感到失望，女儿董芙蓉刻意把自己的女儿董琳琳与孙子的继承问题挂钩。董家另一位女性主角董莉莉，她对董家极度不满，觉得自己如同从家庭垃圾桶中捡拾而来。
